Google Pixel 8 and 8 pro launched on october 4 in made by google event 2023.The both Pixel 8 and 8 pro powered with new Tensor G3. The New Pixel 8 and 8 pro has a bunch of new features and improvements.
One of the new feature of Pixel 8 Pro which is loved by most enthusiasts and Photographers are pro Controls i.e manual camera controls that let you adjust focus,aperture,white balance,ISO,Shutter speed and more..But this feature is exclusively to Pixel 8 Pro
Recently A twitter(X) user posted a video which shows Manual camera controls on Pixel 7 pro which is running the latest Gcam port from Pixel 8 pro.The pro controls are working flawlessly on pixel 7 pro.she also said the mod will work for Tensor powered Pixels.
This suggests that the pro controls of Pixel 8 pro supports other tensor equipped Pixels i.e from pixel 6.
However Gcam is not officially approved by google you may use it at your risk.Google may release this feature for older pixels in further updates or as a Feature Drop.
