Google has ruled out a low-cost Pixel phone i.e there won’t be a $200 Pixel phone.Google’s Vice President of Mobile Business Nanda Ramchandran stated that there won’t be a $200 Pixel phone.
It’s hard to build a $200 pixel for google coz there will be too many compromises to offer the quality google strives for.Ramchandran clarifies “It’s pretty unlikely we’ll go in that direction”
He also clarifies that pixel means not only cameras and Security but also more smart features with AI.
Google also says it’s not possible to build a pixel with all these promises and support for a $200 price point.
What about the Pixel 8 Pro Price Hike?
Ramchandran also justified the increase in price of Pixel 8 Pro.
The Pixel 8 Pro is priced $100 higher than its predecessor its because of New cameras,Improved display(Actua and Super Actua Display),Tensor G3 and 7 years of Software support.
By the way Pixel 8A surfaced online, it’s more identical to Pixel 8 and likely to launch in March 2024.
