Hey Everyone, how many of you are still using Google Pixel 4 or 4XL in 2023?It’s my daily driver still today.Pixel 4XL is one of the best pixel ever made by google.It’s the only Pixel with project SOLI.Lets get into detail review of pixel 4xl in 2023.
Display
The display is just amazing.90 hz is best.I wonder how google optimized this display,while reading articles,browsing social media you’ll get to know how stunning it looks.It’s the words popping out when you read books on kindle.I sometimes realises that this phone is launched in 2019 but still it has best display than flagships in 2023.
Camera
As we all know pixel is known for its camera.Every photo that i captured on this phone was best.The live HDR where the final image and what you see in viewfinder are the same thanks to neural engine which processes the photo in seconds.I compared the photos with pixel 6a it 4xl obliterated the 6a in every aspect.
The latest pixels are taking time to process each photo where 4xl has a neural engine that processes each image just after you hit the shutter.
Google discontinued the neural engine and integrated all of them in the new Tensor.
Tensor need some time to optimise with the computational photography of google.It’s 3rd year for tensor.
This time with 8 pro google added ton of new features and optimized cameras in best way.Night sight for video is an innovation.Lets wait till the launch of pixel 8 and 8 pro.Stay tuned for review of it
Performance and Storage
Pixel 4XL still competes with many flagships in 2023 as it is powered with Snapdragon 855 + .6GB RAM, manages the tasks very well the only problem is with the 64GB variant which i had.You won’t get sufficient storage space as Android 13 itself eats 18GB.
Thanks to unlimited photos backup which instantly backs up each photo and storage saver quality.We can empty the backed up photos.
It sometimes heats up a lot while performing heavy tasks.
Battery
I’m charging my Pixel 4XL twice a day for 6 hrs of screen on time.Soli doesn’t support in my country.The one who uses soli will hardly get battery backup.
Many users reported battery issues like battery not detected and Damaged battery.Google replaced the batteries for those who had this problems.
Conclusion
I’m very much happy using Pixel 4XL.The cameras,vibration motor and haptics impress me every time I use it.It’s the best phone ever made by google.Remember it’s a 2019 phone but still competes with lot’s of smartphones in 2023.
