Android 15 DP1 is here. Today Google released the DP1 of Android 15(VanillaIceCream). You’ll at least need Pixel 6 to try the DP1. There aren’t any big changes in the update but more about privacy and security. I also noticed some new features, more improved haptics and performance.

What’s new
Different and Improved Haptics:
Haptics on the DP1 is very new and improved. Specially the brightness slider haptic is so nice. Keyboard vibration listed under the Vibration and Haptics now.
Notification Cooldown:
Notification cooldown gradually lower the notification volume when you get many successive notifications from the same app. Usually we get many notifications when we connected to internet after long gap so this feature is useful in such situations.
New Easter Egg:
A V Shaped easter egg with space ship game.
Privacy Sandbox:
Privacy Sandbox with improved user privacy and personalized advertising experiences on Mobile apps.
Health Connect:
Health Connect on Android 15 is centralized platform to share app collected health and manage health, fitness, nutrition data.
New Camera Controls:
2 new Camera controls i.e low light enhancement and advanced flash strength adjustments.
Partial Screen Sharing:
We can share only Single app while casting or screen recording instead of sharing the entire screen. A very useful and privacy focused feature.

How to Get Android 15 DP1 on your Pixel
You can flash using the Android flash tool. Following the instructions on screen.
- Open Android flash tool
- Enable Developer options and USB debugging on your pixel.
- Connect your phone to Flash tool via USB.
- Use the link below and follow onscreen.
